What does the Stagehand & Stage Technician course consist of?

The Stagehand course trains professionals specialized in the construction, assembly and management of sets for theater, cinema and events. Students learn stage set-up techniques, movement of stage elements and safety management on stage and on set. The course combines theory and practice, with direct experience on real productions.

Set & Stage

A module dedicated to organizing work behind the scenes and managing stage timing. Students learn about technical hierarchy on stage, team dynamics, and collaboration with other departments. Different theater spaces and their technical configurations are studied. The course includes exercises on quickly assembling and dismantling sets. Perfect for those who want to work professionally in theater and film.

Workplace safety and logistics

An essential path for the training of professional stagehands, focused on accident prevention and safety management. Students learn safety regulations for entertainment workers, the correct use of personal protective equipment and risk management. The procedures for assembling and dismantling sets in an efficient and safe way are explored. Ideal for those who want to work in compliance with professional standards.

Handling and automation

A module that teaches the techniques of manual and motorized movement of scenography. Students learn the use of winches, pulleys, guides and mechanical systems for scene changes. The use of technology for the automated management of scenic effects is explored. The course includes simulations on mobile scenography. Ideal for those who want to specialize in the technical management of the scenic space.
